Google Toolbar is a software developed by Google to improve the functionality of Internet Explorer. The application installs its search functions in Internet Explorer and integrates a new tool for adding comments: Sidewiki. This last function intends to publish or read communally comments left on websites. Highlight a passage, an illustration or page and leave a text, hyperlinks, for visitors to come.

Google toolbar automatically moves to the toolbar of Internet Explorer to give you faster access to the Google search engine. Therefore, the search for information on the Internet will be much easier. In addition, it is possible to use the Google search from any page you browse. Thus, it is no longer necessary to go to the Google home page for any search.

In addition to the translation functions, Google Toolbar offers favorites management, direct access to Gmail, news feed, and more. User can also add new buttons for quick access to weather, to Google Calendar, Picasa Web Album and other selected sites.

The tool offers the user the ability to store his bookmarks in his Google account to access it from any computer, and custom search buttons on favorite sites. Other interesting options include an "auto fill" feature to fill out the forms with one click and a tool for automatic translation of a word when user goes over it.
