CDex is a great choice for any user that desire to extract audio CD on his hard disk in MP3 format having, in the same time, the advantage of being free.

CDex is a utility for extracting audio CD on the hard disk and convert them into MP3. It is capable of encoding the tracks to MP3, AAC, OGG, VQF, WAV, WMA and MP2. User can listen to his favorite music without having to insert the CD into the drive and create compilations by selecting only the desired songs to hear. It is not necessary to edit the tags of the songs since CDex will automatically connect to the CDDB database to download the CD information desired to encode.

In addition to its functions extraction and conversion , CDex can also record audio files that user is listening on the Internet and converts them into MP3.
