WinDVD is a simple-to-use DVD player that combines much more than expected in a standard DVD player features: direct control (timeshift) screenshot and TV output support, the control line (timeshift). User will find the zoom functions , direct access to a chapter, bookmarks , and many others. WinDVD supports Blu- Ray, DVD Video, VCD 2.0 , SVCD, CD audio discs, DVD-Audio , DivX (with subtitles ) as well as MPEG, MPEG4, ASF, AVI, MP3 or AAC.

The application also offers additional functions such as DivX support, the support of Dolby Virtual Speaker, gamma correction, video effects, interpolating movements for smoother video (too fluid, say moviegoers), stabilization videos on the fly, especially useful for reading not always very stable home movies. To top it off, thanks to technology exploiting the graphics chip, this player also supports playback of blu-ray discs, AVCHD and HD movies.
