The "widgets" are increasingly popular so stay up to date with everything using this useful application named Yahoo! Widget Engine.

Yahoo! Widget Engine is a JavaScript engine running Windows ( and Mac OS X) and able to operate small files called "Widgets". These files do not have predefined functions and it is possible to develop for almost everything and anything.

At installation, the software will install a clock, barometer, calendar, CPU monito, display the level of Wifi signal or even an iTunes remote control. But Widgetgallery.com site offers dozens of other applications on the following topics: games, time and date , RSS feeds, system utilities, application extensions , search engines and Webcam real time.

Each "Widget" provides transparency characteristics and positioning in depth (foreground, floating in the background, etc ) and sometimes other specific function (the location for the weather, for example).
